Instagram Nodes

Instagram Nodes format and export content for Instagram posts, reels, and stories. Connect images, videos, and captions from your workflow to produce Instagram-ready content with proper formatting for each post type.

What is an Instagram Node?

The Instagram Node is the endpoint for your visual content pipeline. It supports three post types — feed posts (square/portrait images or videos), reels (vertical short videos), and stories (vertical full-screen content).

  • Feed Post — Square (1:1) or portrait (4:5) image or video
  • Reel — Vertical (9:16) short video
  • Story — Vertical (9:16) full-screen content

Up to 30 hashtags for discoverability. Use a mix of popular and niche tags.

How to Use

  1. Add an Instagram Node to the canvas
  2. Select the post type (Feed, Reel, or Story)
  3. Connect appropriate media:
    • Feed: Reference Image (1:1 or 4:5) or Scene (short video)
    • Reel: Scene (9:16 vertical, 15-90s)
    • Story: Reference Image or Scene (9:16 vertical)
  4. Connect a Text Node for the caption
  5. Add hashtags
  6. Export the formatted Instagram post

Workflow Example

Multi-Format Content Suite: Reference Image (“stunning landscape photo, golden hour”) → Instagram Node (Feed Post, 1:1) + Scene (“cinematic pan across the landscape, 30 seconds”) → Instagram Node (Reel, 9:16) — creates both a feed post and a reel from the same concept.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Feed posts: Use 1:1 (square) or 4:5 (portrait) aspect ratios for maximum screen space
  • Reels: Always 9:16 vertical, 15-90 seconds. Shorter reels (15-30s) get more completion views
  • Stories: 9:16 vertical. Best for behind-the-scenes or quick updates
  • Use hashtags strategically — mix 5-10 popular tags with 10-15 niche tags
  • Carousel posts: Generate multiple Reference Images and export them together
  • Write captions that start with a hook — the first line determines if users tap “more”

Troubleshooting

Aspect ratio rejected

  • Feed: Use 1:1 or 4:5 (not 16:9 — too wide for feed)
  • Reels/Stories: Must be 9:16 vertical

Media quality issues

Instagram compresses uploaded media. Start with the highest quality source — use Upscaler before exporting.
